TYRE RECYCLING TECHNOLOGY · POWERED BY FDPT™

We turn dead tyres into new materials.

RE-TYRE® is a British recycling-technology company. Our patented FDPT™ process breaks end-of-life tyres down with fluid energy — no burning, no pyrolysis — and recovers activR® reactivated rubber, fibR™ fibre and clean steel, ready to go back into new products.

THE PROBLEM

The waste is leaving the country — and the value with it.

Exported, not recovered

The great majority of the UK's waste tyres are shipped overseas rather than processed at home.

Illegal pyrolysis

Exported tyres are too often diverted into unlicensed operations that don't run in an environmentally sound manner.

Rules tightening

The UK has committed to scrapping the T8 exemption, and export routes are coming under growing regulatory pressure.

Race to the bottom

Cheap export undercuts legitimate domestic recovery and restricts the sector's growth.

Source: UK Environment Agency — Waste Pneumatic Tyres Internal Review, 2025.

As export routes close, that material has to be recovered onshore. RE-TYRE exists to give it a better destination — a clean, domestic process that returns tyres to the materials they were made from.

From dead tyre to clean fractions.

FDPT™ — Fluid Dynamic Pulverisation Technology — uses precisely controlled fluid energy in place of blades, heat or chemistry.

01 / COLLECT

End-of-life tyres in

Whole waste tyres are received from collectors, fleets and retailers — kept onshore instead of exported.

02 / PULVERISE

FDPT™ splits the tyre

Ultra-high-pressure fluid jets disintegrate and devulcanise the rubber — no incineration, no pyrolysis, no added chemistry.

03 / SEPARATE

Three clean fractions

Each tyre separates into activR® reactivated rubber, fibR™ reclaimed fibre and clean steel — characterised fraction by fraction.

04 / RETURN

Back into new products

Recovered materials re-enter rubber compounding and manufacturing in place of virgin equivalents — closing the loop.

Because FDPT™ avoids burning and displaces virgin-material production, life-cycle assessment modelling (ISO 14040/44) indicates a substantially lower carbon footprint than incumbent recovery routes. Figures are modelled and directional pending independent verification.

THE PRODUCT · activR®

Dead tyres, pulverised by fluid — not blades or heat.

FDPT™ devulcanises end-of-life tyres with controlled fluid energy. Out come activR® reactivated rubber, fibR™ fibre and clean steel — separated into independently characterised fractions, ready for compounding.
